Sunday’s Freebies

Hi gals,
what started out as a rainy day, turned out to be quite nice this afternoon. So after D’s nap, Chris, Damien, my grandma, and me headed out to the local Christmas market. We strolled around and had some waffles and Damien went for a ride on the kiddy merry-go-round. Of course he had to sit in the police-car, typical 3-year-old :-) So all in all we had a nice relaxing Sunday. What did you do today?

It’s Black Friday

Hi Gals,
I hope you found some great sales today. With my parents being in the States at the moment, they actually got up at 4am this morning to buy a laptop. Can’t wait to hear if they got it. My mom even went to an IKEA a couple days ago to bring me back a catalog as a souvenir. She is the best :-)
While hunting for freebies, I watch TV shows and news in a little window in the corner. I love internet TV. These last two days I have been watching the terrorist attacks in Mumbai. It breaks my heart to see the meaningless bloodshed, so many innocent humans lost their lives. It makes me angry that we live in a world where terrorists believe that they can influence the outcome of elections and provoke wars.

Thank you for all your comments about the blog makeover, I’m glad you like it :-)
I haven’t figured out how to make the previews larger when they are clicked on. If you know how to do this please leave me a comment.
A couple of you asked how to get the header to spread across the page. Well I created it 1200px wide and 331px height with 100px resolution. I use one of the standard blogger templates: Minima Lefty Stretch (I don’t know if that has anything to do with it). When uploading it via blogger you have to remove the check in the shrink to fit box under placement.
As for the labels on the left, I just added them as pictures. That may not be the elegant way to do things, but I don’t know a different way. I actually figured most of these things out via trial and error.
